If you love dump cakes, I have some good news for you. You can recreate this recipe using your choice of pie filling and cake mix. Some of my favorite combinations are:
- apple pie filling + yellow cake mix
- peach pie filling + white cake mix
- strawberry pie filling + yellow cake mix
Can You Use Fresh Blueberries?
Yes, you can! Simply replace the blueberry pie filling with 4 cups of fresh blueberries and continue to prepare the recipe as listed.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Two 21-ounce cans blueberry pie filling
- 13.25-ounce box cake mix of your choice
- ½ cup cold salted butter sliced into thin squares
How to Make Blueberry Dump Cake
1. Preheat oven to 350℉ and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2. Dump both cans of the blueberry pie filling into the greased dish, being sure to spread it across the entire dish.
3. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pie filling. Use the back of a spoon to help even it out.
4. Place the sliced butter evenly over the entire cake.
5. Bake for 45 minutes. The top should be bubbly and golden brown. Serve warm.
Serving Suggestions
