These lemon pepper chicken wings are crispy on the outside, yet juicy and tender on the inside. The wings are coated in a lemon pepper seasoning combined with lemon zest and garlic powder, along with baking powder for extra crispness, before oven baking to perfection.

Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

After baking, the wings are tossed in a lemon butter mixture, before being garnished with fresh parsley. The end result is wings absolutely packed with delicious lemon flavor. These chicken wings will not last long!

Ingredients You’ll Need:

Chicken wings: Use chicken wings that have been pre-trimmed, or trim yourself by slicing through the joints with a sharp knife.

Olive oil: Use a good quality extra virgin olive oil, or your preferred cooking oil.

Baking powder: Not to be confused with baking soda. All purpose flour could be used in place of the baking powder, however the wings may not be as crispy.

Lemon pepper seasoning: Use a store-bought lemon pepper seasoning, or a homemade version.

Lemon zest: The lemon zest adds a lemon flavor boost, however it could be omitted if preferred.

Garlic powder: The garlic powder could be substituted with 1 finely chopped or minced garlic clove.

Butter: Salted butter was used in this recipe, however unsalted butter could instead be used.

Lemon juice: This recipe tastes best when made with freshly squeezed lemon juice, however bottled lemon juice can be used if fresh lemons are not available.

Fresh parsley: The fresh parsley is used to garnish the cooked wings, however it is completely optional and can be omitted if preferred.
