- 2 lbs lean ground beef, browned and drained
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 small green bell pepper diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups ketchup
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Biscuit Topping
- 2 boxes Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
- Ingredients called for on the biscuit mix package
- Seasoning packets included in the boxes
- 2 Tbsp butter melted
- Chopped parsley for garnish

How to Make Slow Cooker Cheddar Bay Sloppy Joe Bake
1. To your 6 quart slow cooker add your ground beef, salt, pepper, onion, bell pepper and garlic.
2. Stir in the ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and smoked paprika until well combined.
3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
4. Prepare the Cheddar Bay biscuit mix according to the package directions. Drop large spoonful’s of the biscuit dough evenly over the sloppy joe mixture, leaving a little space between each biscuit.
5. Cover and cook on HIGH for 45–60 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through. (Cooking times may vary depending on your slow cooker.)
6. Brush the tops of the biscuits with the melted butter mixed with the included garlic herb seasoning packets. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
