Equipment

Ingredients

For the Filling

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 garlic cloves finely chopped or minced
  • 2 ¼ cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Dough

  • 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry chilled, not frozen

For the Topping

  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • Extra chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until fully incorporated.
  • Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the sheet of puff pastry until you have a larger rectangle that is approx. 11×15 inches. Spread the prepared cheesy garlic butter mixture evenly over the entire surface of the pastry.
  • Form the Cruffins: Starting from one edge, roll the pastry tightly into a log, similar to a jelly roll. Slice the rolled pastry into 6–8 equal pieces. Place each piece, cut-side up, into a greased or lined muffin tin.
  • Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cruffins are puffed and golden brown.
  • Finish and Serve: While still hot, brush the cruffins with melted butter and garnish with additional chopped parsley. Serve warm.
